Mustangs had 18 athletes qualify to compete at the Daily News Invitational in Greenville, including James Rodriguez, Gabe Kauffman, Jareth Shappee, Callen Eldred, Josh Arganbright, Tuff Rood, Ashlyn Binge, Lexi Curtiss, Braleigh Fulk, Saralynn Shelley, Kirstyn Cummings, Ryann Ball, Marly Lumbert, Mia Lumbert, Emma Peterson, Brooklyn Rauch, Emily Allen, and Joslyn Clay. The top three individuals and relays in each event earned a spot on the podium and received medals. James was also nominated and voted the Most Outstanding Male Athlete of the meet and was featured in the Daily News on Friday as a result.
