The Mustang Girls Golf team played close to home Thursday at the Mt. Pleasant Country Club. Hosted by Sacred Heart, they were joined by Breckinridge, Farwell, and Vestaburg for a beautiful and cool 18 holes. Leading the stampede was co-captain Kenzie Karcher, who scored back to back pars, and ended in 9th place with a 123 (64/59). Emma Peterson came out strong with a par and a bogey, placing 10th with a 126 (70/56). Co-Captain Alivia Thompson ended with 2 bogies, shooting a 144 (69/75), shaving 18 strokes from last years score in this course. Most improved goes to Lydia Eldred who improved by an amazing 26 strokes from last years score! She secured 2 bogies and came in with a 139(67/72). Bailey Kelsey and Ella Scherzer rounded out the day with 160 and 161. We are so thrilled with the amount of growth these girls have shown each week, and look forward to being hosted by Saginaw Heritage HS next week.
